Hypothyroid.

Hey people! My name is Miana and I have hypothyroid! I am 13 years old and have had it since I was about 7. I didn't even know I had it until 1/24/13!! I am CRAZY short! I am 4' 4 1/2" and weigh 83 pounds. When I first found out I was only 4' 2" so I have grown!!! I have lost 13 pounds!!! CRAZZZYYYYY!!!

I cried a lot because I was so short and fat. I tried to loose wait but it NEVER happened. I felt sluggish ALL the time. I never wanted to get out of bed. I never felt thirst and would go 2-3 days without drinking.  I was always tall until I was about 7. Then I stopped growing and gaining more and more weight. A few years later I hadn't hit any "growth spurts". I was (am) not even on the charts for my height. I was totally NOT confident in myself. I just wanted to be normal.


It was Christmas 2012  when my uncle Travis (who is a marine medic) was worried and said I should go get checked out. I got blood tests done and they came back CRAAAAAZZZZYYYYY!!!

I went to an endo in NC (we live in VA) to get checked out some more. I have a reaallllyyy nice ENDO!!
Normal thyroid levels are 1-4........................MINE WERE 600!!!! I almost DIED! My doctor said it was a  amazing I was even walking!  The thyroid controls everything! I got put on med IMMEDIATELY!

I am doing sooo much better! Thanks everyone for the support they gave me!!
